Simple Chinese noodle cookies are great Christmas cookies. Make them in the microwave with chocolate or butterscotch chips. A family Christmas favourite.

These Chinese noodle cookies are not really Chinese, or even Asian. But they do have Chinese noodles in them and are a favourite of my family at Christmas time, so I've jumped into June's column to share this simple recipe. - Editor

Chinese Noodle Cookies

Ingredients:

Preparation:

Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips over medium heat on the stove or better - in a glass bowl in the microwave. Add chinese noodles and nuts to the melted chips. Mix Well. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. Let cool until hardened.

Yield: 30 cookies.

My Grandma always made these. I think she called them ting-a-lings or something like that. They're really delicious. I should make some.
