» Feature Writer Jacqueline Church - Great article!

I am going to pull out the recent Gourmet, they talk of Nonya cuisine of Malaysia...is there a parallel? I see that both cuisines are borne of combining cultures. Nonya adding pork to formerly pork-free Muslim diet. I am woefully ignorant of these varieties and grateful for your guidance! I want to eat it all up.

Cheers,
Jacqueline

In response to Great article! posted by JChurch:

Hello Jacqueline!

I'm so glad to hear that my articles have been edifying. Yes, this type of Hakka-Indian food is quite similar to the hybrid dishes of Nonya cuisine.
Glad to be of help!
