Singapore's cuisine borrows from a variety of Chinese cultures (Hakka, Cantonese, Teochew), Indian and Malay dishes as well.


Merlion is a delicious, spicy addition to Toronto's downtown Chinatown. It's a small resto that packs a big punch: chili crab, sambal fish and French beans, satay done the right way and home-made soy milk. Highly-recommended eating.
