Asians love their tubers and root vegetables. They are filling and nutritious during cold weather.


Gourds, melons and roots are often used in Asian soups and salads. Some may look like alien fruit or too strange to ingest but pay no matter to the look. In my latest introduction to Asian veggies, you'll learn more about banana stems, lotus roots, jicama and yellow cucumber.
