Asian Desserts: fruit, coconut milk and spices

Western palates are used to buttery, sugary concoctions loaded with chocolate and fillings. Compared to that, Asian desserts use a diverse assortment of ingredients.

Desserts from the tropics use everything from coconuts to pineapples to red beans and rice. Don't be put off, many people are confused about these ingredients but if you're open to new eating experiences, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Try out my Malaysian Bubur Cha Cha (boo boo cha cha) dessert -- so unique and you can't beat the name.
